Automotive

There are many permanent magnet applications in a typical automobile such as PMDC motors utilized on power windows, seats, mirrors, windshield wipers, and cooling fans to name a few. There are countless sensors ranging from proximity sensors to Hall Effect sensors used in a vehicle. In addition, permanent magnets are used in generators in Electric Vehicles, Hybrid EVs, and EREV as well as electric pumps, starters, electric valve actuators, electric power steering (EPS) and speakers. Tridus supplies permanent magnets to various applications in the automotive industries.

Industrial

Permanent magnets are used in a myriad of industrial applications, such as: rotary motors that bring robots to life, linear motors that make high-accuracy / quick acceleration machining and material handling equipment possible, elevator lift motors that are more compact and bring down operating costs and compressors that improve efficiency for everyday heating and cooling appliances. For example, among many other industrial applications mentioned above, Tridus is working with lift motor industries to convert braking forces to generate and store electricity much like hybrid vehicles to increase efficiency. Tridus is also working with magnetic refrigeration systems where the magnetic field is used to act as a heat pump.

Oil and Gas

Oil and Gas

Some of Tridus permanent magnets and magnet assemblies are capable of handling the harsh operating environments of the oil and gas industry. Magnets are used in excavating tools, power generators, magnetic couplings, steering and torque motors and magnetic inspection devices.

Consumer Electronics

Consumer Electronics

Rare earth magnets are also used for many consumer electronics applications. Virtually most modern speakers use neodymium magnets due to their small size and being much more powerful than other permanent magnets. As a result, Tridus magnets can be found in the most current smart phones in speakers and vibrating motors. Any consumer electronic devices that use PMDC motors, speakers, and even holding mechanisms most likely have neodymium magnets.

MEDICAL

MEDICAL

Permanent magnets are used in various equipment and devices ranging from Magnetic Resonance Imaging or MRI machines to hearing aids. Countless motors found in pumps, XYZ moving devices, and filtration systems use permanent magnets. Tridus even provides tiny permanent magnets used to navigate through arteries in patients suffering from arterial plaque.
